Meet a friendly Swiss Greeter in the city of your choice.
A wonderful experience for families, friends, individuals traveling solo.
The Swiss Greeters who serve as greeters are all volunteers, come from varied backgrounds and can welcome visitors in 4 languages (English, German, French and Italian).
What will a Greeter do?
- Answer your questions and help you orient yourself in the city.
- Explain the public transport system and show you how fast and easy it is to get around the city on the subways and buses and so far….
- Recommend personal favorites: the lesser-known sights, great little shops and local restaurants / bars that give each neighborhood its special color and flavor.
- Meet with you rain or shine.
- Highlight Swiss rich and remarkable cultural and ethnic diversity.
Nice to know
- Greeter “visits” are not tours. There are no pre-set itineraries, theme tours or start times.
- Greeters and visitors go on foot or use public transportation.
It is important that you return any correspondence that your greeter initiates. This includes phone calls and email. This will only help the greeter in planning and confirming your visit.
This service is free of charge and there is a no tipping policy.
